As we work towards our ‘new normal’, we had a really great teacher training session on 29 July — thanks to wonderful support from our RLSS trainer assessors and teachers.
We learned how to take lifesaving skills to a new level, how to approach the risks, and how to protect our swimmers in the current Covid-19 situation and post-pandemic.
Everyone who attended agreed the session had been fun. More than that, they grasped the seriousness of the messages and that it’s all about keeping our swimmers safe. We’re pleased to say that those who attended showed their competence, and they feel confident about returning to teaching swimming.
All our teachers will complete the session before they come back to the pool.

A great CPR demo from Jon. During this time, all the equipment has to be thoroughly sterilised between uses.
Training over, it’s time for a rest! Our mannequins waiting to go back into storage.
